Week 2 is well and truly over. Time for my wrap up! This week has been a little bit cooler so the knitwear has come out in full force. It has made me realise that I do not like hand washing things en masse. I prefer throwing stuff in the machine in a bag and boom. Clean. Day 8: Simplicity 3688 skirt made from a wide corduroy. The cardigan and thin lace top have been in my wardrobe since about 2006... Shoes by B.A.I.T. Day 9: Vintage Simplicity 3733 from the 1950s and a little tartan lady tie. Blouse is from Uniqlo. Shoes are awesome and from Ziera. Day 10: Peppermint ice cream sweater. This is a Debbie Bliss pattern and the yarn is super easy to wash. It's made from baby acrylic 4ply. So easy care! I want to make another one of these, with a few more lower repeats to extend the length. Pants are Hell Bunny I think? Day 11: Black long sleeve Gable Top by Jennifer Lauren Handmade. The pants are from the Salvos. Beret is from NZ and made from a possum blend. It is so delicious. The brooch is a gold leaf with a little pearl nestled in. It works like a dream with beige or cream tones. Day 12: Double whammy! I am wearing the Cropped Winter Sweater by Andi Satterlund. My lovely is wearing a 1940s 8ply knit. He says it is toasty warm. His jumper took me ages to make. Mens things are just so much larger. And heavier! Day 13: Little Enmore Cowl by Morris & Sons. One of the first things I made by myself. I was still nervous about purl stitches. The pattern is like an extended moss (?) 4 rows and 4 sts wide of alternating knit and purl. This lippy is killer and from Bella Scoop. No bonus round this week. Nothing was completed. I had too much social stuff to do! So far, there haven't been any double ups in my me-made wardrobe. I'm pretty happy with that. As always, you can find more notes about my knittings on my Ravelry page: Showgirl Boring.
