Third week done. Slowly moving towards to end of the month... So far, I have managed to wear something different each day. No double-ups. That wasn't part of the plan, but I do wonder if I can continue it.... The weather has been sitting around the low 20s (C). I've worn some items that don't get out much. Fair warning - there are lots of pictures in this post. Stay tuned for TWO Bonus Round projects down the end. Day 14: 1940s knitted 'Connie' jumper from an original 40s pattern book. The stitch pattern is really stunning. The high neckline takes a bit of getting used to, but it looks so 40s. The back neckline has 4 little press studs to help with getting into and out of the top. Day 15: Wanda Vest with a drapey rayon blouse from Dangerfield underneath. Pants are from Retrospec'd. Day 16: Knitted Cropped Winter Sweater by Andi Satterlund. This is/was a free pattern and my first go at seamless knitting. It worked pretty well! Paired with a Country Road wool skirt from eBay. Long black boots are from Roc. I would really like these boots in brown too. Day 17: After running a poll on my Instagram stories for which knitted top went best with the brown tweed 40s style suit, the dusty pink Jan Sweater won. Suit and shoes are both from eBay. Day 18: The Cowl Neck Dress from Sew Over It London. It's a pretty great staple. Easy to whip up in an evening and simple to throw on. The bag is vintage from eBay. Belt was stolen from mum years ago. Boots are by Colorado. Day 19: Wonderfully toasty 8ply jumper from a 1970s vintage pattern. I didn't think I liked the raglan sleeves, but turns out the designer was right. Raglan sleeves were perfect for this top and the squishy stitch pattern. I did stitch down the shawl collar to keep in in place. Vintage kilt and earrings from Bow & Crossbones. Day 20: An oldie but a goodie. Mint infinity cowl which is perfect for throwing on and doing the groceries. |
