Into the 4th week for Me Made May. Still, no double ups. I have more in the me-made wardrobe than I thought!
Day 21: Another New Look 6000. This was the first one I ever made. It's when I fell in love with ponte as a woven. The black gloves are from eBay and the boots are from Wollongong. Very old boots, I'm talking purchased in 2004/2005 old! They have done me well and are still comfortable. It will be a sad day when they fall apart.
Day 22: Second New Look 6000 in a row! I blogged about this one, it was part of my 'sewing a new Mad Men style work wardrobe' plan. Green gloves are vintage from eBay.
Day 23: Purple Jan sweater! I love this sweater. It's so pretty and warm and lovely. It's from A Stitch In Time by Susan Crawford. They are brilliant books. Cardi is angora from Forever New from years ago. Circa 2007.
Day 24: Red Princess Twinset Jumper. It's made from a solid red cotton - Gelato yarn from Spotlight. I do have to wear some thermals underneath but it's all good. Pants are from the Salvos. They are actually a 7/8 length, but go well when tucked into boots.
Day 25: 1940s style knitted cape. It's toasty warm. Blouse is vintage from eBay, pants are Hell Bunny... I think? They have fallen apart. I do need to sew them back together. Bit disappointing really.
Day 26: My 1930s Sunday Pictorial Beret from A Stitch in Time by Susan Crawford. It's perfect for eating up those awkward one or two balls of left over 4ply. The sun was delicious this day. I was trying to catch it all before it goes during winter.
Day 27: Little green earrings that I made by whacking some earring posts onto vintage resin moulds. The bangles were picked up recently at the local Salvos. It was a casual Sunday of house hangs and grocery shopping.
There is considerable progress being made on the fair isle vest. It hurts my hands more to tension two colours at once. I am actively trying to make the floats looser. The fair isle sections are still very stretchy which is good!
